The mission of the Floyd County Housing Authority (FCHA) is the same as that of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); to promote adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.

FCHA administers the following Housing Programs:
FCHA currently manages 172 Public Housing units, 301 Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV), previously known as Section 8 Vouchers, 25 Mainstream Vouchers, and 20 Section 202 units in the community. FCHA is not equipped for Emergency Housing.
